The building industry isn’t always the kindest to our environment. From the moment Clear Surveys was born, it was my undertaking to have a business model that was different to the norm.
It was and still is important to me that we make good choices. Treating people, resources and the environment with respect.
We encourage our clients to build sustainability into their homes. And we hold ourselves to the same standards in the way we do business.

The majority of our business travel uses electric vehicles, charged with 100% renewable energy.
We have a repair not replace policy. When technology fails us, we strive to find suitable repair methods, rather than replacing it with new.
We aim to only buy technology that can is capable of being repaired and upgraded.
We generate very low volumes of waste and recycle everything that can be.
We buy only what is necessary to sustain the business. Avoiding all non-essential products and services.

We commit to donating 1% of our revenue, not just profit, to charity.
We’re currently supporting MSF (Médecins Sans Frontières), known in English as Doctors Without Borders. They’re an international, independent medical humanitarian organisation. They provide emergency aid in over 70 countries to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare.
We also support local individuals and charities when there is a clear need for our support.
Giving back isn’t just an optional extra for us. We’ve formally written charitable giving into our Articles of Association. Making support for good causes a legal commitment built into the foundations of our business.
We believe that businesses should be more than just suppliers to their clients and employers to their people. They should benefit the communities in which they are based and the wider world. We strongly feel that if we can help, we should.

We design and specify sustainable heating, hot water and energy systems for normal homes. We understand the challenges and limitations of systems such as Solar PV, Solar Thermal and Air Source Heat Pumps.
Our Sustainable Heating Assessments ensure your sustainable heating and hot water system will function correctly, be comfortable to live with and not cost you a disproportionate amount to run.
We help clients to select the right insulation choices for their building. Ensuring high performance, heat retention and low embodied carbon.
When we supervise projects, we enforce correct application of insulation and sustainable heating measures. Ensuring the real-world performance of these measures matches the design intention, making your home comfortable and affordable.
All of our advice is based on real-world experiences of helping clients make sustainable choices that work for them in real-world scenarios
